About the Company

IBP Konsulting is a company primarily engaged in expert services related to the broad field of fire protection. The company bases its operations on its own staff and collaborating specialists who possess extensive experience and professional knowledge.

The owner of the company is Mariusz Sobecki, who has many years of experience in carrying out various tasks and projects related to fire safety. He is a graduate of the Main School of Fire Service with a bachelor's and master's degree in Fire Safety Engineering, as well as a postgraduate degree in Industrial Process Safety from Lodz University of Technology.

What can I say about myself? I am an enthusiast of new technologies, well past my high school years, and I deal daily with issues related to fire protection. I am a former fire officer, a fire protection expert, and currently run a company providing services related to fire safety.

From 2002 to 2003, I was a member of the working group of the committee for fire protection services at PCA, developing the principles of voluntary certification for services in fire alarm and automation. From 2004 to 2006, I worked as an auditor for fire alarm and automation installations at the Fire Protection Services Certification Center SITP. Since 2003, I have participated in the work of Technical Committee No. 264 of the Polish Committee for Standardization on fire alarm systems. I participated in the working group to develop SITP guidelines for designing fire alarm installations. Since 2023, I have also been a member of Technical Committee No. 180 PKN concerning fire safety in buildings.

I am actively involved in the Association of Fire Engineers and Technicians (SITP), currently serving as the Chair of the SITP Legnica Circle and a member of the SITP Main Board Presidium. I held the position of Chair of the Fire Protection Standards and Guidelines Design Committee at SITP. Currently, the SITP Main Board has entrusted me with the role of Chair of the Scientific and Technical Council of SITP.

I participate in the work of SITP technical committees concerning the development of SITP guidelines for designing fire alarm installations and SITP/CNBOP guidelines for the integration of fire protection devices.

I am also a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, hiking, and keeping up with technological innovations, among other things.

In my work, I believe that reality should not be ignored and problems should not be overlooked; they must be solved according to knowledge and law, keeping in mind the safety of the facility and its users. Every technical solution should be designed and executed to actually achieve its intended purpose and not create an illusion of safety.
